This is the last season of #operationbachelorpad reveals. Monday you saw the Living Room, yesterday you saw the Dining/Bar/Den but today is my favorite. I’m bringing you Mr. Bachelor’s bedroom, AKA The Dudeoir.
Here’s to looking through Matt Kile’s lens!
Yea, that is some serious wallpaper. And I seriously love it. The more I look at it, the more I like it. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but it has a really cool woodgrain texture that makes it feel even more custom. Instead of table lamps, I opted for sleek sconces to provide bedside lighting. I’m so thankful that my electrician was very careful with my measurements. It could have been a real disaster if the bed was delivered and didn’t fit within the sconces. Whew!
When working with a bold, graphic pattern you obviously want very minimal lines in furniture and simple bedding. I just really like how it turned out, and I hope you do as well.
A little nightstand styling moment for you to enjoy.
The bedroom also has exterior walls with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons on natural light. I replaced a ceiling fan was with a slick drum shade pendant. Mr. Bachelor loved this classic Egg chair because he said it was so comfortable. I personally think it is not that comfortable, but I love the shape. With a matching ottoman it makes for a nice spot to check your e-mails in the morning. The rustic sign from Hammer and Hand Imports is the perfect height and shape to balance out the modern chair.
I hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as I enjoyed working on them. Photo-shoots in client’s homes can me incredibly stressful, but this was the easiest one to date, thanks to everyone involved. Can’t wait until the next one!
A very special thanks to:
Matt Kile for the photography.
Chris & Amy Plastid from Hammer & Hand Imports for co-styling, and being all-around-awesome.
Daniel Jolivette for assisting shoot.
